Simply magic. From the moment I landed, I was blessed with all the beauty at once. Standing in front of the airport, taking the first breath of fresh and smog free air, I felt free, I felt home. In case I have not mentioned this previously, I am Icelandic horse breed…

While enjoying the first moments on the land, the combination of snowflakes flying throughout the sunny sky right on tip of my nose, I am slowly realizing, I am in the land of unexpected beauty and I can’t wait to show you, I was right.

At first, we took nice walk through the center of Reykjavik and enjoyed delicious coffee (TIP – Refill coffee very popular in Iceland – pay once, drink as much as you need). With the very first sniff of the coffee recommended to me by my awesome owner, I knew I am in love with this liquid … much better than water! 

After chilling for a moment, I insisted on visiting the black volcanic beach for a short walk. If I would need to say what I felt standing on the lava sand having the view of snowy mountains … simply breathtaking! I fell in love with Iceland super fast. Later in the evening, I was also treated with yet another amazing view – Aurora Borealis. To see the sky moving fast in colors , I couldn’t even imagine it could be so playful … the real beauty of the universe.

From all the travels, walk in the city and running on the lava sand, I was exhausted. But that didn’t stop me from going to say goodnight to the universe right from top of a little hill I saw when passing by earlier … and it was worth it … Good Night Reykjavik!
